Description

A slightly more complicated version of BadPin. Same goal: get a pin code. Patching is allowed. (The main thing is that the pincode should work with the unpatched version!!!) There is a little antidebug check (and antiantidebug too). You can remove it with a patch :D As in the last version: a small virtual machine is used here. Compared to the last version, I got my act together and improved a couple of things (although some things still crash dotnet :(( ) My VM is freely available on github, maybe that will help you in crackme solution? Yes, yes, this is the real Insane. In the sense that it looks INSANE. In fact, it's solved in a couple clicks in GHIDRA.

cnathansmith on 10:57 PM 08/08/2023: I started looking at the last BadPin a while back but got distracted by other work. Whether or not I get a chance to give either the proper deep dive they deserve, I just want to say I really like what you've done with these. The UIs are completely different but have a cohesive theme. Obfuscated .NET is a really fringe RE topic without much coverage. These are what the challenges are supposed to look like.
